Chocolate Chip Cookies
These classic cookies are always a hit and can be made with a variety of mix-ins to suit your taste.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until well combined. Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until a dough forms. Stir in the chocolate chips.
Drop spoonful's of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches of space between each cookie.
Bake the cookies for 8-10 minutes, or until they are lightly golden around the edges. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy!
Note: You can also add in other mix-ins such as nuts, dried fruit, or different types of chocolate chips to customize your cookies. Just be sure to not add too much or the dough may become too dry and crumbly.
