Shortbread Cookies
These buttery, crumbly cookies are a classic holiday treat.


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Gradually add the flour and salt and mix until a dough forms.

  3. Transfer the dough to the prepared baking sheet and press it evenly into the pan. Use a fork to prick the dough all over.

  4. Bake the cookies for 20-25 minutes, or until they are lightly golden around the edges. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

  5. Once the cookies are cool, you can sprinkle them with additional sugar or cut them into desired shapes using a sharp knife. Enjoy
